National Debtline recognised at the Helplines Partnership Awards

National Debtline adviser Susie Johnson was awarded third place in the Employee of the Year category at this year’s Helplines Partnership Annual Conference last week.

The award recognises those who have made a significant contribution to a helpline and gone above and beyond the job description. Susie was commended on her commitment to helping callers, as well as for her broad technical and legal knowledge, which is often called upon by colleagues.

The Award Judges said:
“Susie stood out as being an amazingly well-rounded professional with the ability to multi-task and flourish in her role. It is clear how she supports others in the team as well as being truly dedicated to the people she supports on the line. The evidence of her going above and beyond is clear.”

In addition, National Debtline was shortlisted in the category of Helpline of the Year, which recognises organisations who have made a significant contribution to the sector and the well-being of service users.

Money Advice Trust chief executive Joanna Elson OBE said:
“We are incredibly proud of Susie and all of our advisers, who go above and beyond every day to help people tackle their debts and manage money well.  It is a tough job, but a rewarding one – and it is great to see our advisers’ hard work recognised more widely.”
