Money Advice Trust wins ‘Excellence in Training’ award

The Money Advice Trust has won the ‘Excellence in Training’ category at this year’s Collections and Customer Support awards, held virtually on 24th November 2020.

The award recognises the impact of the charity’s training work with creditors to improve support for vulnerable customers.
This work included adapting its training and resources as a result of Covid-19 – developing  a ‘Working in a crisis’ series of webinars, podcasts and resources to help creditor staff support customers affected by the outbreak – alongside converting training online and launching four new remote learning courses.
Earlier this month the Money Advice Trust was named ‘Debt Advice Provider of the Year’ at the Credit Awards. Each of the charity’s services, National Debtline, Business Debtline, Wiseradviser and Training and Consultancy have now been recognised in awards this year.
Lyndsey Humphries, head of training and consultancy at the Money Advice Trust, said:
“We are delighted to have won the ‘Excellence in Training’ award. This recognises the hard work of team and our subject matter experts in developing resources and tools tailored to help creditor staff, help vulnerable customers impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak and in converting courses online.
“With the financial impact of the outbreak set to continue for some time, the role of creditors and their staff in supporting customers will be more important than ever. We will continue to adapt our training to ensure it meets the needs of organisations and helps improves support for customers in vulnerable circumstances.”
