Money Advice Trust wins Debt Advice Provider of the Year

The Money Advice Trust was announced as the winner of Debt Advice Provider of the Year in Credit Strategy magazine’s Collections & Customer Service Awards on Thursday 24th November 2016.

The Collections & Customer Service Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of those within collections and customer service and are now in their tenth year. Other organisations in the award category were Debt Advisory Line and South West London Law Centres.

The Trust was also recently successful in the Helpline Awards 2016 where National Debtline’s Angela Clarke was awarded Helpline Employee of the Year.

The Trust helps people across the UK to tackle their debts and manage their money with confidence, and provides free advice through National Debtline and Business Debtline.

After contacting National Debtline 98% of callers said they were clear on the next steps they needed to take, and 12 months after an advice session 91% of callers had seen their debts reducing or stabilising.

After contacting Business Debtline 98% of callers were satisfied with the service they received, and two months after contacting us 87% of callers reported that they felt confident that they are managing their money more wisely.

Joanna Elson OBE, chief executive of the Money Advice Trust, the charity that runs National Debtline and Business Debtline, said:

“I am delighted that the Trust has won Debt Advice Provider of the Year, highlighting the fantastic work of our advisers at both National Debtline and Business Debtline in helping people to tackle their debts and manage their money with confidence.

“Last year we helped hundreds of thousands of people through National Debtline and Business Debtline, and going into this difficult time of year we stand ready to help many more as we move into 2017.”
